THE SURROUNDING
Padma Hotel Bandung is located in the secluded area of North Bandung. Surrounded by green pine forest, it gives the hotel a fresh air vibe which complements the cool mountain breeze.
Neighboring buildings are mostly private villas, but there are some thematic restaurants near the hotel which will give you a choice for dining out when you're too lazy to go downtown.
THE HOTEL & SERVICE
Designed with a rustic feel at the lobby area, we can't help but fell in love at first sight. The lobby is very homy with comfortable sofas, huge window to look over the pine forest and a wood fireplace to warm it up.
Padma Hotel Bandung is quite a unique hotel. Since it is built on a hillside the 1st floor of the hotel is actually the top floor where the front desk and the lobby are. And the 8th floor is at the bottom of the hotel, so it gives the feel that instead of being built up it was built down.
Upon arriving we were greeted with friendly smiles of the hotel crew. They're very fast to respond even on busy days. They're also very knowledgable with all the activities provided by the hotel. Once, we bumped into a housekeeper on the way to our room, and we asked him what's the available kids activity of the day, and he can answer it immediately.
THE ROOM
There are lots of room choices to suite your lifestyle. The deluxe room pool view is the standard room you can get. Even if it is standard, the room is quite spacy with a window looking over the pool. The deluxe room pool view is located on the 2nd to 4th floor of the hotel, so it will give you an aerial view of the hotel's pool and the greeneries around.
If you'd like a more secluded feel room, the studio is the perfect choice. Complemented with a glass wall at one side that will give you a view to the pine forest. It will give you the feel of waking up in the middle of the forest (of course without the hassle).
The room we stayed in are neat, spotless, and well lit as the huge window allow natural light to pour into the room. As we walk into the room, it feels fresh not a single hint of dampness. All rooms are equipped with a free wifi, which is necessary in today's world. (Your social media will definitely be updated all the time, no latepost,, LOL) And most of all it has lots of power socket, enough to plug in all your gadget's charger.
THE FACILITIES
It has standard facilities of a hotel, with gym, dining area, ballroom etc. A stand out facility for this hotel is the warm water pool and public hot jacuzzi. It is a plus considering the cool air that Bandung has. Moreover it also has a playground for kids, a flying fox and wall climbing area, wide enough green field to play mini soccer, a three on three basketball court, and a pet zoo with pigeons, rabbits, and ducks. You and your children can come at certain times of the day and help the caregiver feed the pet.

Padma Hotel Bandung also provides lots of activities for children and elderly. They have daily kids activities such as nail & face painting, make your own keychain or other art activities, fish catching competition (and yes! They will give your kid a trophy for winning this). For more general activities they have fun trailing around the pine forest, morning yoga class, and sometimes they have archery booth where you can practice your arching skill.

THE FOOD AND DINING AREA
The accommodation price you pay to stay in this hotel already include a breakfast buffet and an afternoon snack. Regarding the food I got no complain. There are a variety of choice from western, asian, to local sundanese cuisine. If you're a coffee lover they gave you a variety of choice and you can brew your own, the same goes to tea.

OVERALL RATING
5/5 : Perfect place to stay especially if you're travelling with family. Everyone in your group will definitely enjoy the hotel. Personal opinion, we are so satisfied with the hotel that we are willing to recommend this hotel to other friends especially those who are travelling with family, and we would definitely stay at Padma Hotel Bandung again for our next visit.
If you're travelling for business, this hotel is not fully recommended. It's a bit far from the business part of Bandung. Unless what you mean by "business" is a company retreat where you need to have focus and robust meetings, Padma Hotel Bandung could be a choice.
